Welcome to Coast Express, a MIDI settings utility for the Make Noise 0-Coast.
System Requirements
- macOS, Windows, or Linux.
- Chrome, Opera and Edge are the only supported browsers. All other browsers will not work.
- A MIDI interface connected to your computer.
Instructions
- Connect the MIDI interface to your computer before loading the Coast Express page (or reload the page after connecting the interface).
- Choose the MIDI port of your 0-Coast from the pull-down menu.
- Change settings using the buttons and sliders.
Note that the settings are not automatically saved on the 0-Coast so if you turn the power off the settings will be lost. To save settings on the 0-Coast, hold PGM A to enter the Program Pages, then hold PGM B to save.
Some Notes About this Web App
- Your patch information is not stored on a server, all data is saved to your browser. This means that your settings will only be available in the browser that you used to create the patch. You might want to save the links to any important settings somewhere else for safekeeping.
- Your patch is automatically saved as you work so any patches you've worked on will be waiting for you when you return (with the same browser).
- If you run into any issues, please let me know. Be sure to include as much detail as you can in your message — browser, device, OS version, what you were doing, etc.
Coast Express for Max
Coast Express is also available in a version for Cycling '74's Max. The Max version provides a few extra widgets not (yet?) available for the web version:- An onscreen keyboard to send MIDI notes.
- A dial to send Mod Wheel.
- MIDI clock out.
- Interface is reflected in Mira for display on an iPad.
